Isn’t about physics, Allison.
It’s not, it’s just not.
We’re not bodies in motion, we’re not atoms floating through space following these perfect laws that dictate our every move.
That’s not how people work, Allison.
That’s a crutch. That’s a metaphor you rely on to make people make sense to you, to make you think you can predict what people are going to do and what they’re going to say and how you’re going to react but, Allison, God, those things aren’t predictable. Those things aren’t Newtonian. You said that yourself.
Relying on your stupid equations and your notebooks and your whiteboards and your little quips about physics that sound like they’re about us?
That’s how you make sense of the world, but Allison.
The world isn’t under any obligation to make sense to you.
And neither am I.
Yeah, okay. I did what I did. And it was wrong, and I’m sorry, but I don’t have to sit here and try to defend myself to you while you stare at your notebook and act like you’re not listening. I’m a human being, I deserve some level of reasonable, adult discourse in the matter. Alright?
Don’t turn me into a penguin on a sled so you can write off any part of this as “negligible” and call it a day.
It’s not about physics.
It’s about us.
